PPW Toys Hits Market with All-Star Express Wooden Trains
January 13, 2011

Few companies are more attuned to the children’s toy category in the specialty retail market as Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW Toys). Now, says business manager Dean Gorby, the company is ready to roll out its latest licensed line, All-Star Express Wooden Trains.

“Retailers out there know the demand,” he explains. “The percentage of people who already own wooden train sets is staggering. We’ve taken this hot item and combined it with the passion of sports fans.”

According to Gorby, every model in the All-Star Express collection is 100% real wood and compatible with existing train tracks and sets. Each train is decorated with a variety of team-specific colors, logos and detail. and the pack will include a wooden team sign.

“For the product launch, a series of MLB and NFL versions of the Train Engine will be available,” he says. “But that’s just the start. The response has been far-greater than anticipated. In fact, we have already received orders for other teams and additional train cars that haven’t even been created yet.”

PPW Toys is used to dealing with heightened expectations. The company’s line of licensed Mr. Potato Head Sports Spuds is on the industry’s best sellers. The company also offers other major hits, including Connect 4 Sports Games, Giant Floor Puzzles and All-Star Boxing Puppets.

PPW Toys will have its entire lineup on display at the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show. Gorby says there isn’t a better venue for the company to introduce the All-Star Wooden Express. “We target the show for our new items every year,” he explains. “It is a great opportunity for us.”
