Majestic Housewares Growing Into a Licensed Wholesale Leader

Even as the economy shows signs of bouncing back, consumers and retailers alike are looking for bargains. That's certainly good news for Majestic Housewares. Between periodic closeout sales and regular low pricing, the company has an amazing amount of licensed products to offer.

"We got into the business six years ago," says president Steve Meyers. "We started in dollar goods and later moved into sports. It's a fun business to be in."

That's especially true when you can change with the marketplace. While Majestic stays away from hot-market items, it is able to offer teams trending strongly with fans. "The limited timeframe of hot markets doesn't fit what we do," says Meyers, "but we always have good values in licensed merchandise."

While Majestic is still new to some in the industry, the company has bolstered its reputation by exhibiting at the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show. Majestic appeared in Las Vegas this year for the third time. "It was a good show," says Meyers. "Even better than 2011. We saw a lot of existing customers and met new ones."

Meyers is expecting 2012 to be a busy year. Majestic offers private labeling and welcomes custom orders, two areas that could see an increase in business. "We bring a large variety of wholesale general merchandise and name brand licensed items for whatever your need," says Meyers.
