Kijaro Eager for its Industry Debut

Tailgating isn’t all about the party. Comfort is also essential. That’s where Kijaro comes into the picture. A new player in licensed sports industry, Kijaro has hit the marketplace with four game-changing items, a selection of three fold-up chairs and a hammock that folds into a backpack.

“We want to own the tailgate market,” says Dacia Boehmler, Kijaro’s Director of Marketing & Sales. “But our products are also great for man caves, dorm rooms and all sorts of outdoor activities.”

Kijaro has chosen to take it slow and steady as it learns about the licensed industry. Currently, the company has five schools in the fold: Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Arkansas State. The plan is to add more collegiate licenses when the time is right.

“We’re eager to find key retail partners,” says Boehmler. “We offer great pricing with good margins built in.”

Central to Kijaro’s messaging is its Dual Lock technology. “It provides a superior seating experience,” says Boehmler. “Dual Lock technology means greater stability and more comfort.”

Comfort is also the key word when describing Kijaro’s all in one hammock. It includes a cooler compartment that holds six beverages and a detachable canopy that has five different settings. Boehmler calls it the “ultimate retail item.”

“The all in one hammock is awesome,” she says. “When a retailer sets it up, it sells itself. It’s different than anything out there.”

Retailers and buyers can get a firsthand look at Kijaro’s offerings in January at the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show. Boehmler sees the event as a great way to introduce the company to the industry.

The all in one hammock promises to be a huge hit.

“We want to reach out to the independents, including bookstores and specialty shops,” she says. “If you’re looking for a premier product, something that consumers recognize as high quality, something that they will really get excited about, then stop by our booth. “
