Instant Tailgate Making Inroads with Inflatable Products
December 21, 2010

When we first reported on Instant Tailgate last year, the company was preparing for its debut at the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show. According to Saed Hamad, it could not have gone much better.

“The show was fantastic,” he says. “We got a lot of great leads and great feedback. We were picked up by some big players.”

Hamad is hoping for more of the same when Instant Tailgate returns to Las Vegas in January. One of the Instant Tailgate’s primary areas of focus for 2011 is pursuing licensing even more aggressively. Currently, the company holds licenses with a small but impressive group of schools, including Kentucky, Clemson, NC State and Iowa. Hamad wants to build on that momentum.

“We’re working diligently to acquire more licenses,” he says. “The SEC and ACC are natural fits for us. The demand is there.”

Instant Tailgate is also working to increase it product selection. The company’s flagship item is its inflatable tailgate set-up. It fits in an 8x10 parking space and includes canopy and chairs. According to Hamad, the chairs are now available as individual purchases at a suggested retail price of just $49.99. Instant Tailgate is developing accessories like coolers and ottomans as well.

“Our chairs are the ultimate in rugged luxury,” says Hamad. “You won’t find an inflatable chair that’s sturdier.”

Hamad feels Instant Tailgate is attractive at retail for a variety reasons, including that fact that it’s scalable. “We’ve made it possible to buy one item at a time,” he says.

“It’s time that tailgaters had a comfortable and relaxing chair that they can take to the game with them,” Hamad adds. “We know fans that put Instant Tailgate chairs in their homes.”
