Nothing makes a tailgating statement like flying the team colors at a major sports event. Hitch A Flag has turned this tricky process into a real no-brainer. The company makes and markets a hitch-mounted flagpole system that assembles (and breaks down) quickly. NASCAR, NFL and college flags are available.

As the company’s TV spot says, “Just clip, hitch and go.” The product allows a 3’ x 5’ flag to move freely and untangled in all directions, and will work at speeds up to 35 mph.
The Hitch A Flag mount is constructed of heavy-duty molded plastic and attaches to a standard two-inch trailer hitch. An optional adapter allows it to work for any size. The pole sections (an extender is available for flying two flags at once) are made of durable powder-coated steel. The unit retails at $34.95.

Hitch A Flag has concentrated its marketing through an 800 number and web site, but is now reaching out toward the retail community. The company will be exhibiting in Las Vegas at the Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace and Tailgate • Picnic Show this January and also expects to be talking to potential distribution partners.
