Sports Licensed and Tailgate Industry Green-Light January 2008 Show
Buyers, Sellers & Leagues Confirm Need for Strong Trade Event

Time is money. And when there is money to be made in the licensed sports business, timing is important. These two ideas converged in discussions with licensors, licensed manufacturers and licensed buyers in the days following the Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace and Tailgate • Picnic Show, which debuted in Las Vegas last November.

The result of these talks was a clear, across-the-board consensus: The industry wants and needs a robust annual trade event.

Thus the next Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace and Tailgate • Picnic Show will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 16 to 18, 2008 at a new venue, the Sands/Venetian Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fundex Making the Most of NASCAR License
Three New Outdoor Games for Racing Fans

Over the last two decades, Fundex Games has captured an enviable slice of the family game market by offering products ranging from chess sets and dominos to Phase 10 and Ned’s Head. In other words, Fundex has something fun for just about everyone. You can now add auto racing fans to that list.

This summer, the company is unveiling three licensed NASCAR outdoor recreation games. NASCAR Chuck-O is a bean-bag toss game that builds on the success of Fundex’s already-popular Chuck-O product. Top Toss is a very cool bolo throwing game. Bulls-Eye Washers is a washer toss game. All will be available starting this summer.

“Teaming with NASCAR is a perfect strategic match for our outdoor category of games,” says Fundex Marketing Director Dan Sabato. “Our games are high-quality, portable and great outdoor fun. We expect them to be a hit with NASCAR fans."

“By partnering with Fundex,” adds NASCAR’s Blake Davidson, “we will now be able to deliver three unique NASCAR outdoor games to our 75 million fans, who will be able to enjoy these great products at the track and in their own backyard.”

The games carry suggested retail pricing of $39.99 to $99.99.
