For Bare Feet’s MLB flip-flops have been a big hit.

Hair Today, Sales Tomorrow
For Bare Feet Set to Launch Licensed Hair Accessories Line
March 27, 2007

A year ago, For Bare Feet made headlines with the debut of licensed flip-flops, including offerings in teams from the NBA, MLB and a full assortment of colleges. (The company also holds licenses with the NFL, WNBA, D-League, USAB, MLB Players Association and Minor League Baseball.) According to Vice President of Sales Kelly Baugh, the response to the introduction was phenomenal. “Retailers have experienced big growth,” she says. “We’re already looking into expanding our styles and colors.”

Collegiate flip-flops have also done very well.

For 2007, For Bare Feet is at it again, tapping into another market that the licensed industry has yet to address. “We’re releasing a new hair accessory line,” reports Baugh. “Everything from scrunchies and clips to braided pieces.”

Based on the success of the 2006 flip-flop launch, Baugh is optimistic about For Bare Feet’s latest venture. Initially, product will be available in NBA and NHL teams. “We see hair accessories as a tremendous opportunity,” she says. “It’s a great niche market, and we’re able to service this type of market very well.”

Colts merchandise has been popular since Indy’s Super Bowl win.

Like all of its offerings, For Bare Feet’s hair accessories line plays into the company’s ability to customize product. “This is our specialty,” says Baugh. “We can provide whatever a retailer wants. This helps make our customers more competitive.”

Working to ensure the success of its retail partners, in fact, is what drives For Bare Feet. “We put our heart into developing programs that benefit our customers,” says Baugh. “Our goal is to grow their business and team up with them as a true partner.”
