Education in Spotlight at Las Vegas Sports Licensing Show
Free Seminars Available to Attendees
September 19, 2006

Information is power in this industry, and it’s free at the Sports Licensing & Entertainment Marketplace and the Tailgate•Picnic Show in Las Vegas this November. Beginning bright and early on Day One (Thursday, November 9) and concluding on Day Three (Saturday, November 11), more than a dozen seminars, tutorials and panel discussions will be open to retailers, exhibitors and other attendees. All free!

The program has been assembled by the show’s Ambassador of Retailer Education, Jack Smith, former head of The Sports Authority and an expert in licensed sports retailing. Smith will open each morning’s ReadySetGo industry breakfast with news and views on the licensed world, and highlight emerging trends on the show floor.

Conference topics will range from how to bite off a bigger share of the tailgating and picnic business to career pathing in the sports industry. For a full listing of educational events and presenters, click HERE.

The first session starts right after the breakfast on Thursday morning, and is entitled “Leveraging High-Profile Events for High-Profile Profits.” The featured speaker will be Tim Hindert, President of Related Experiences. Hindert, an expert in retail store and shopping center promotions, will be joined by a group of retailers as well as an events promoter.

“The breakfast sessions are a great way to start your day,” says program coordinator Cheryl Schumacher. “Whether you stay for our morning seminar or begin working the aisles right away, you’ll hit the floor running.”

A complimentary box lunch session is also scheduled for the first two days of the show. The first will cover strategies for building Customer Loyalty, while the second will focus on In-Store Merchandising ideas. To reserve a space in the lunch sessions, email cheryl@csmipi.com.
