Encore Select Turning Heads with Performance Brand

Over the years, Encore Select has set itself apart with a distinctive selection of sports collectibles. Hot market items are also a major source of business for the company. For example, after Auburn beat Oregon in the BCS National Championship Game, Encore was ready with product that celebrated the War Eagles’ first football title since 1957.

“We come in at price points that allow retailers to make good margins,” says company president Richard Moore.

But as Moore points out, Encore is a diverse and well-rounded company. Case in point is the TRU: performance brand. “This may be our most exciting area and our biggest growth segment,” says Moore.

TRU: is a line of apparel and other accessories for health-conscious consumers. It ranges from Titanium t-shirts and long-sleeve hoodies to Ion watches. “We’re talking a very active niche represented by everyone from high school students to 40-year-old soccer moms,” says Moore.

Moore calls the Titanium Apparel collection the “next step in apparel.” A full line of fitted merchandise, it incorporates titanium into the fabric for enhanced performance. “It’s fashion driven with a health benefit,” says Moore.

That’s also a good way to describe the Ion watches. Available in 35 colors and styles, the line carries price points at less than $15. “It is a good fit for the majors,” says Moore.

Encore will have a full compliment of TRU: product on display at the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show. Moore has been attending since the days of the Super Show. He sees the Las Vegas event as a wonderful venue for his company and the perfect way to get out the message about TRU:.

“It’s a great product line at a good value with a quality of merchandise that appeals to everyday consumers,” says Moore.
