Cooler Coozies Set to Make Industry Debut

Sports fans never turn down an opportunity to show their team spirit. Any manufacturer with a finger on the pulse of the licensed industry knows this to be true. That’s why Cooler Coozies promises to be one of the best product launches of 2010.

“The Cooler Coozie is like a t-shirt for your cooler,” says company owner Greg Sanchez. “It’s the only custom cooler cover in existence. It completes the tailgating experience.”

Sanchez came up with the idea just over a year ago during a brainstorming session at his ad agency in Arizona. “It was during the Cardinals’ playoff run,” he recalls. “We were talking about the range of products for tailgating. You could outfit everything, except for a plain cooler.”

Cooler Coozies come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

The Cooler Coozie was born. It’s available in 11 different sizes to match every model of cooler. Retail prices start at $7.99 and go up to $26.99. “The Cooler Coozie is made from Neoprene, so it’s durable, washable and waterproof,” says Sanchez. “You simply slide it right over a cooler. It takes just seconds.”

Sanchez has already signed licensing deals with the NFL, MLB, NCAA and NASCAR. He will introduce the world to Cooler Coozies at the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show in Las Vegas. “We’re eager to get the product out there,” says Sanchez. “We’re interested in all types of retailers, from major chains to the Mom & Pops. The product has gotten a ton of interest so far.”

Sanchez is confident that the Cooler Coozie will have a huge impact on the tailgating industry. “It eliminates the need for multiple coolers,” he says. “You can buy Cooler Coozies for all your favorite teams. Tailgating, backyard picnics and cookouts will never be the same.”
