The Original Comfy Feet Slipper, in Alabama colors

A Step in the Right Direction
Comfy Feet Strikes Licensing Deal with NBA
February 27, 2007

The NBA is slipping into something more comfortable in 2007. The league has added Comfy Feet as a licensee, and the well-known slipper maker is eager to begin showing off its new product. “We’re waiting for our first inventories to come into stock,” says owner Keith Eickoff. “This is our first pro license. We hope to do more.”

Many in the industry are familiar with Comfy Feet. The company launched a decade ago with college-licensed slippers. The original Comfy Feet design mimicked a tennis shoe. The company has since introduced other items, including a basic house slipper, flip-flops, Greek scuffs and slippers and a blanket for infants. Eickoff says Comfy Feet will offer NBA product in everything but the blankets.

Our deal covers all 30 teams,” he explains. “We think it will help us expand our reach, especially through concessionaires and sport specialty channels.”

“Licensing is our only business,” Eickoff adds. “We always carry a large inventory, our shipping time is very fast, we have good customer service, and we stand behind our products. Partnering with the NBA is a good step for us.”
