AirBedz a Hit with Tailgaters and Outdoor Enthusiasts

No one knows the drudgery of sleeping on an uncomfortable air mattress better than James Pittman. The president of Pittman Products International, he is a veteran who spent many long nights out in the field. Pittman is also an avid outdoorsman and camper. “I served proudly in the Armed Forces years ago and wanted to create something for not only the soldier, but also something for the weekend warrior,” says Pittman.
He hit the mark with AirBedz, a mattress designed specifically for truck beds. AirBedz come in a variety of sizes that fit trucks of all sizes. An integrated air coil system distributes weight evenly across a 12-inch thick mattress, providing a good night's sleep. AirBedz are also great for indoor use, including sleepovers and the unexpected houseguest.
“We are the original truck bed air mattress,” says Pittman. “Cutouts on each side allow the mattress to fit around and over the wheel wells in the truck bed, creating a sleep area that utilizes the entire truck bed. Our company conceptualized, designed and patented this idea.”

Just recently, Pittman returned to his roots when his company rolled out its latest design: a digital camouflage version of AirBedz. “Our new digital camouflage AirBedz® line will be a great partnership with hunters, fishing enthusiasts and outdoor explorers,” he says.
Pittman believes the digital camouflage design will strike a chord with outdoor enthusiasts. He is eager to bring the product to retailers buyers here in the United States and abroad. Part of the company’s marketing efforts includes a trip to the Sports
Licensing and Tailgate Show next January.
“We’ve received a great reception,” says Pittman. “I heard from one international buyer who told me, ‘AirBedz will be a huge hit in my country! I can’t wait to import these and begin selling them!’”
